Today I’m most present to the importance of small steps.
It’s easy to be daunted by the mountains we set ourselves as the goal in life and business.
More than ever the conversation about becoming a billionaire ( www.BuildingBillionaires.com ) or even a trillionaire ( www.TrainingTrillionaires.com ) are relevant and practical for more and more people.
A hundred years ago, the cost not just in economic terms but time, logistics, human resources were almost insurmountable to share a message globally.
Few ever did it and those that did took hundreds of years to reach saturation – if ever they truly did.
Now we have passed certain key mile markers as a species, as a planet as a potential for creativity to be maximised and harnessed.
Children under ten years of age, can craft a message and share it globally in days.
I worded that sentence carefully – they have the ability to craft, to record, edit and produce. They have the ability to share and colour their message. This is a far cry from the simplicity of a live radio broadcast. The technology in the latest mobile devices will reveal and unleash something.. the only question is what.
For many there will be overwhelm, even amongst those who believe they’ve seen the wave and are primed to surf it.
History has taught us that, Mathematics and Chaos Theory have explained it, and our own life maturity should ground that as a reality.
What is possible then? To take small steps.
The quoted line is that every great journey begins with a single step.
I think it’s more than ever true for life.
Over the weekend I spoke and shared my insights around entrepreneurship and connection, revealing the 3 fundamentals to Click Call and Connect ( www.ClickCallandConnect.com ). The feedback from those live and those who’ve seen the recordings was phenomenal. I’m clear that the seeds for that event go back over 30 years.
If I had been faced with taking all the steps in one go, I doubt I would have been able to. The gradient would have seemed to steep, the pain and duress of the lessons too high a price, and the commitment required too much.
However life seems to have had a different thought for me – and I don’t mean that as a passive traveller on the flow of time and space.
The small steps, the incremental One Degree gains, made over time a truly remarkable shift.
It’s my birthday soon, the 3rd of February, and I’m looking back on what’s happened since my birth, and since the public launch of Psi Pi Group back in 2002 (the 2nd Feb 2002 was the official public “The Launch Party”).
While I have generated a trillion pounds of cashflow into my own bank accounts – yet – I’m sure much to the chagrin of several key stake holders, the ripples we’ve made our clearer than ever.
But this isn’t about me, it really isn’t.
This is a reminded to focus on the small steps.
To take one step at a time.
To know that we are all human – none better or worse.
So, breath, take this moment as it is.
Look at what you need to prioritise now, and take one small step towards it.
You can leap and complete it if you know how, but the smallest step towards it is a progress to celebrate.
If you’re stuck on what to prioritize then download and use iPrioritize . It’s the app that I built for me, at a time when I was finding it hard to see the wood from the trees and inspired by my friends worksheets.
So, thank you for reading this, and I hope it inspires you to take on more small step.
As you do, we all – yes all of us – move forward.
And where are we all heading.. that’s The Conversation that some of us are excited to inquire into and I believe now can now start to share.
I know you can create something extraordinary – maybe you already have… – what else may be possible next? what if we collaborated and took small steps together.. if that’s of interest.. here’s the next one I think you should take now.. – click here and lets explore together what would be extraordinary for you.
