I was asked to help with the London 2015 Europhilex exhibition over 4 years ago. It’s a great example of strategic planning done right and what’s possible when people come together with a focus.
There are expected to be many thousands of visitors each day, and the best bit is that most of the exhibition is completely free.
I’ve had the privilege to have met some amazing philatelists over my life, and I’ve always been amazed by the artistry, the histories and the entrepreneurial “magic” that come from understanding the ebbs and flows and nuances of a trade that is part history, part passion and part fine-art and antiquities.
If you can attend this summer I will be present helping before, during and after the event.
My partners and I have helped with branding, marketing, web and digital strategy, joint ventures, event optimisation and much more.
They had a low budget for what is in essence a volunteer led exhibition and we have achieved a lot – successful in the measures of traffic, ticket sales and most important interest.
Here’s to a great event.
There are some exceptional items from postal and our history, especially when you consider how many of our current generation of children may never send a letter by choice, preferring instead the text, sms or instant message.
