Patience – Essential? is it a good skill or not for an entrepreneur and a strategic alchemist?
I’ve been talking with my mum during the mother’s day lunch and we were remembering how much has changed and transformed in the last 30 years – from who we are as people, what we care about, our physical surroundings to wider aspects of society and the environment.
One thing that I still can’t “magic” is a new fully working limb for someone with a nerve injury. I’ve researched, supported, and sponsored some incredible research over the last twenty years especially and there are very promising developments in process.
The robotics fields and 3d printing are producing unpredicted quantum breakthroughs in what’s possible now and what’s thought possible for tomorrow.
Computation power and power itself is producing ever closer smart systems that can bridge the gap.
Is it good to be patient? Or to push for faster delivery timescales and more focussed productive problem solving?
Or both..
Yoda said “Patience you must have” and my friend Anil says “Infinite Patience produces Immediate Happiness”, and I have learnt through decades of meditation, Tai Chi and Shibumi Mastery to understand the beauty of each moment.
I’m also wise enough now to know that I don’t have the whole map, and that there may well be smarter more funded minds who are close to gold.
My request, if you know anyone that is focussing on these kinds of areas please let me know, so we can start to optimally include them in the mix, be it supporting their incubation, development or deployment.
I know the best present I would love to give “K” and I hope in her lifetime we can make that possible.
